Tim Bethea and Family Lose All Furniture, Clothes in Fire

Posted by Bob Wall
I’m sad to report that the house rented by Tim Bethea, Barksdale’s Willow Lawn custodian of many years, burned to the ground on Tuesday of last week. Thankfully, Tim, his wife and five children all escaped unharmed. However, the Bethea family lost all of their furniture, clothes, household goods, etc.

Thankfully, Tim and his family have been able to move into his mother’s home for the time being. Bruce Miller and Phil Whiteway have started a fund to help Tim manage this financial disaster. If you would like to help this family in need, you may send contributions to:

Tim Bethea Fire Fund
c/o Barksdale Theatre and Theatre IV
114 W Broad Street
Richmond, VA 23220

Checks should be made payable to “Tim Bethea.” Contributions are NOT tax deductible.

If anyone has furniture they’d like to donate, or if anyone knows of other resources to which we can refer Tim, please send that information to p.whiteway@barksdalerichmond.org.

Thank you.
